This, to me, is my first EP. It's categorically untrue, obviously, but it's the first one with a cohesive theme (Coastal forests) and a consistent timbre, and a handful of songs that I not only wrote, but like. It reminds me of the times I spent camping in the redwoods as a little one, and how much I've come to miss that rare natural landscape since moving away.

Shooting Star is a favourite. It's one of those beautiful, effortless songs where it feels like nobody wrote it, and as far as I can tell that's probably true. I aspire to that level of simplicity, it's one of the most appealing things about folk music to me.
